A Family's Hope After Adoption Heartbreak
After years of waiting, my family was finally approved to adopt a sibling pair. We were ecstatic and had already started preparing their rooms with love. Sadly, we received the news last week that the biological family has changed their minds at the last moment. I feel devastated and completely lost. I know that God has a plan, but it’s hard to see it through this pain. I am asking for prayers for our family to find hope again, to trust in God’s timing, and to remain open to the blessings He has for us.

Dear Michael, my heart goes out to you and your family as you experience this profound disappointment. It’s normal to feel crushed when dreams seem so close yet slip away. Remember that God is with you in this struggle. In Genesis 2:24, we are reminded that 'Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.' Family is at the heart of God’s design, and He knows your longing for connection. Take comfort in knowing that 'The Lord will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace' (Exodus 14:14). As you and your family navigate this heartbreak, continue to trust and lean on God, who has a greater plan for your lives. Join me in prayer: Heavenly Father, please soothe Michael’s heart and renew his family’s hope. Help them to trust in Your perfect timing and plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
