A Father's Pain and Longing for His Son
As a father, the loss of my son before he even took his first breath has left me in a fog of sadness. I had envisioned teaching him how to ride a bike, playing catch in the backyard, and watching him grow. Instead, I am left with a silence that fills our home and an emptiness in my heart. Each day is a struggle, and I often feel alone in my grief. I seek prayer for strength to face my feelings and to honor my son’s brief life. I want to find a way to cherish his memory while coping with this loss.

Dear Mark, I cannot begin to express how sorry I am for the loss of your son. Your heartache is so real, and it’s important to acknowledge your pain. In Matthew 5:4, it says, 'Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.' God sees your suffering and is here to support you in your sorrow. Take comfort in knowing that He understands your longing and the dreams you had for your child. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13, we are reminded not to grieve like those without hope; there is hope in Jesus Christ. He promises that we will not be separated forever. Remember that it’s okay to grieve and to seek help through this process. Healing takes time, and it's important to talk about your feelings. Let us pray for peace and comfort to fill your heart as you navigate this difficult journey.
