A Father's Pain Over His Son's Hostility to Faith
As a father, it breaks my heart to see my son, who used to be so interested in faith, now dismissing it entirely. He recently started working in a place where he often hears derogatory comments about Christianity, and I've noticed he’s beginning to adopt those views. I feel helpless and fear that he is drifting away from God. I pray for his eyes to be opened and for him to remember the love of Christ that was once so real to him. Please pray that I find the right words to support him and for God to soften his heart.

Dear David, my heart goes out to you in this challenging situation. As a father, your concern for your son's faith is both natural and deeply rooted in love. I encourage you to hold on to the promise found in Proverbs 22:6, 'Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.' Your influence and prayers can have a profound impact on his life. In Romans 10:9, we are reminded that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Pray that your son remembers this truth and experiences a personal encounter with Christ that reignites his faith. Additionally, 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us. Trust that God is at work in your son's heart, even when it feels like he is turning away. I will be praying alongside you for wisdom in your conversations and for your son's heart to be softened to the message of love and grace. Amen.
