A Father's Struggle to Heal from a Tragic Loss
I never thought I would have to bury my son, Ethan. He was just a bright, spirited teenager, full of dreams and aspirations. The day he passed due to a tragic accident was the day my world turned gray. I am drowning in sorrow, and every day feels heavier than the last. I find it hard to talk to anyone about it; my friends don't understand the magnitude of my pain. I feel as if I’m losing my faith and questioning whether God is really there for me. Please pray for me to find hope and strength to keep going, even when it feels impossible.

Senior Pastor, Grace Community Church
Dear David, my heart aches with you. The loss of a child is a burden that no parent should have to bear, and it is understandable that you are grappling with your faith during this painful time. Please remember that God is not indifferent to your suffering. In 2 Corinthians 1:3, it is written, 'Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.' This verse reassures us that God sees our pain and offers comfort even in the deepest sorrow. Grief can be isolating, but know that your community and church family are here for you. I encourage you to seek support and talk about your feelings. God understands your doubts and questions. Be assured that 'weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning' (Psalms 30:5). Let us keep looking for the light that will guide us through the darkness. I will pray for strength and comfort to surround you. Amen.
