A Graduate's Struggle in a Small Town
I'm Emily, a 22-year-old recent college graduate who was hopeful about starting my career. However, after being laid off from my first job at a local café due to budget cuts, I am feeling defeated. I am trying to find something that matches my degree, but job openings are limited in our small town. I pray for direction and opportunities that align with my skills and passion. I feel lost and need encouragement and support during this challenging transition in my life. Please keep me in your prayers as I navigate this difficult time.

Dear Emily, it’s completely normal to feel lost after graduating, especially when faced with unexpected obstacles like job loss. Remember that God has a unique path for you, even when it doesn’t seem clear at the moment. Trust in the promise found in James 1:5: 'If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.' Keep seeking God’s direction in your life. Your skills and degree will be recognized in time. Proverbs 22:29 states that a diligent worker will stand before kings, and your hard work will lead you to the right opportunity. Let’s pray together: Lord, please guide Emily in her job search and provide her with the wisdom and encouragement she needs during this transition. Amen.
