A Grandfather's Hope for His Lost Grandson
I am deeply troubled about my grandson, Jason, who has turned away from the faith he was raised in. He once thrived in Sunday school and actively participated in youth programs, but now at 16, he claims he doesn't believe anymore. I have tried talking with him, but he seems angry and resentful towards the church and God. It breaks my heart to see him lost and confused. I pray he finds his way back to the Lord, that his heart will be softened, and that he can see the love that God has for him. Please pray that Jason will feel God's presence and be drawn back to the faith of his childhood.

Dear George, your heartache for Jason is palpable, and I commend you for your steadfast love and concern for him. Remember, as it says in Ezekiel 18:23, God does not desire anyone to perish but wants everyone to turn and live. Your prayers are powerful, and they are a demonstration of your faith and love. Continue to reach out to Jason with compassion and understanding, even amid his anger. John 10:10 reminds us that Jesus came to bring life abundantly; pray that Jason can come to see this abundant life in Christ. Seek opportunities to share stories of how God has worked within your life and family's faith journey; this may create a bridge back to understanding. Your role in his life is vital, and I will join you in prayer for Jason’s heart to be opened and his soul restored. May God give you both peace and hope during this difficult time.
Amen.
