A Grandmother’s Heart: Concern for Grandson's Faith Journey
As a grandmother, my heart aches for my 18-year-old grandson who has been working in an environment that often mocks Christianity. He used to be so passionate about his faith, but lately, he seems to be drifting away. I frequently hear him make comments that show doubt and skepticism. I pray for God to protect him from negative influences and guide him back to a relationship with Jesus. The thought of him losing his way in life is overwhelming. Please pray that he encounters God's love and grace in a powerful way.

Dear Margaret, thank you for sharing your heart regarding your grandson. As a grandmother, you carry a unique and powerful influence in his life. It is evident that your love and concern for him are profound. In Luke 15:7, we are reminded of the joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. This assures you that God is relentlessly pursuing your grandson's heart. I encourage you to continue lifting him up in prayer, believing that God is working in ways you cannot see. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God, and the peace of God will guard your heart and mind. Keep sharing the love of Christ with him, and let him see the joy in your faith. Remember, God is always ready to welcome back those who are lost (John 3:16).
