A Heart Heavy with Memories of Home
Hello, my name is Ahmad. I fled my home country due to war and persecution, and I’ve been living in a refugee camp here for several months. The memories of my homeland haunt me every day; I miss my friends, my culture, and the vibrant life we had. The weight of loss feels unbearable at times, especially knowing that my family is still back there, living in fear. I often think about my little sister and wonder if she is safe. I cry out to God for protection over my family and for healing from this pain in my heart. I need prayer to help me cope with the heavy grief that fills my days and to find hope for a better future.

Grief and Healing Ministry
Dear Ahmad, thank you for sharing your painful journey with me. It's heartbreaking to hear about the trauma you've experienced and the loss of your homeland. Know that God sees your suffering, and in Psalm 147:3, we are reminded that 'He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.' Your grief is valid, and it shows how much you love your family and homeland. I encourage you to hold on to the promises of God during this difficult time. In Lamentations 3:32, we read, 'But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.' He is compassionate and understands your pain deeply. I also want to remind you that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). I will pray that God surrounds you with His peace and gives you the strength to face each new day. May He grant you comfort and a sense of hope for the future. Amen.
