A Mother's Anxiety Over Her Daughter's Skepticism
I am a single mother struggling to guide my teenage daughter, who has become increasingly skeptical about faith. She often engages in debates with her friends about God, and I worry that she is getting pulled away from our values. I keep praying for her, but sometimes it feels like my words fall on deaf ears. I ask for prayer that God would open her heart and mind to the truth and that I would have the wisdom to communicate effectively with her. Please pray that she would find a relationship with Christ that feels real and fulfilling.

Dear Linda, thank you for reaching out and sharing your heart. It is incredibly challenging to see our children struggle with faith, especially during their formative years. The good news is that God hears our prayers and desires for all to come to know Him (1 Timothy 2:4). In times of doubt, remember that faith often grows through questioning. Hebrews 11:1 teaches us that 'faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' Encourage your daughter to explore her questions, and remind her that it's okay to seek answers. It's important to create a safe space for these conversations. Trust that, as you pray and remain steadfast, God is working in her life. In John 14:6, Jesus tells us that He is the way, the truth, and the life. Help her to see that through personal experiences and through the love you show her. I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers for clarity, peace, and divine guidance in your discussions. Amen.
