A Mother's Broken Heart After Losing Her Child
My heart is shattered after losing my sweet baby girl, Lily. She was only a few months old, and her laughter filled our home with joy. Now, there is an empty space, and I can hardly breathe. I feel lost and broken, questioning everything I believe. My faith feels shattered, and the will to live seems so distant. Every corner of our home reminds me of her sweet smile. How do I carry on when the pain is so overwhelming? Please pray for me to find peace and to feel God's presence in my darkest moments.

Dear Emily, I am deeply sorry for your loss. It is natural to feel overwhelmed with grief when losing a child, and it's okay to seek comfort and support. Remember that, even in this dark time, God is close to the brokenhearted. The Psalmist reminds us that 'the Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart' (Psalms 34:18). Your feelings are valid, and God is there to hold you. Grief is a journey, and it is crucial to allow yourself to feel the pain while also leaning into your faith. Jesus said, 'I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live' (John 11:25). This promise assures us that our loved ones are safe in His arms. It can be hard to see through the clouds of sorrow, but God’s light remains, even in the darkest valleys (Psalms 23:4). I will pray that you feel His comforting presence and that peace will gradually fill your heart. May God bless you with strength to carry on. Amen.
