A Mother’s Burden for Her Children's Salvation
As a single mother of three kids, ages 12, 8, and 5, I feel overwhelmed by my responsibility to instill faith in them. I worry that in our busy lives, they might not truly understand who Jesus is and the importance of having a personal relationship with Him. There are days when I come home exhausted from work, and I think about how to teach them about God’s love, but often I fall short. I long for them to experience the joy of knowing Christ and to choose Him for themselves. Please pray for my children’s hearts to be open to the gospel, and pray for wisdom as I guide them in faith. I want to lead them to His light amidst the noise of this world.

Dear Sophia, thank you for sharing your heart. Being a single mother is a tremendous responsibility, and it’s evident you care deeply for your children’s spiritual well-being. Remember what Scripture promises us in Ezekiel 18:23: 'Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?' God desires every child to know Him and to experience His love. As you model faith in your own life, you are planting seeds in your children’s hearts. In John 3:16, we read, 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' This promise is for your children too! Look for those teachable moments in your everyday life to share the gospel. It could be through family devotions, or even by discussing a Bible story while doing chores. I’ll be praying for you and your children, that God would give you strength and insight as you shepherd them towards His truth.
