A Mother's Cry for Her Lost Son's Salvation
My beloved son, Jake, is lost in the grips of addiction. Alcohol has taken over his life, and he is so resistant to any conversation about faith. I often feel desperate and alone as I watch him struggle, knowing the potential he has but unable to reach him. I remember the story in the Bible about the prodigal son, who wandered far away but was welcomed home with love (Luke 15:7). I pray that Jake will experience the same grace and mercy, returning to a life that shines with God’s love. Please pray that God would break through the hard shell he has built around his heart and that he would find the strength to seek help. I believe in the power of prayer and God’s ability to transform lives.

Dear Linda, thank you for sharing your heartfelt plea for Jake. Your love and concern for your son shine through, and it’s evident how much he means to you. Addiction often creates barriers that seem unbreakable, but we must remember that God is in the business of miracles. The story of the prodigal son illustrates God’s infinite love and grace, showing us that no one is beyond redemption (Luke 15:7). Your prayers can pave the way for Jake’s return. Romans 10:9 assures us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Even though it may seem hopeless now, trust that God is working behind the scenes in Jake’s life. Continue to sow seeds of love and faith; they may take time to grow but can lead to a flourishing relationship with God. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we lift Jake to You, asking for Your mercy and grace to touch his heart. Help him see the hope found in You and guide him toward healing and restoration. In Jesus' name, Amen.
