A Mother's Heart Breaking Under Fear for Her Children
As a single mother of three, I often find myself gripped by anxiety about the safety and wellbeing of my children. Each time they leave the house, my heart races with fears of what could happen to them. I feel overwhelmed by the thought of danger looming around every corner, and it consumes my thoughts, making it hard to focus on anything else. I know I should trust in God, but the worry feels so heavy. I yearn for peace and assurance that they are in His hands. Please pray for me to find comfort and strength in God's promises as I navigate these fears.

Dear Jasmine, thank you for sharing your heart. It’s completely natural for a mother to worry about her children’s safety. You are not alone in this struggle. In fact, the Bible reminds us in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our care upon Him because He cares for us. God is deeply concerned about the things that cause us distress. Remember also Isaiah 26:3, which assures us that God will keep those in perfect peace whose minds are stayed on Him because they trust in Him. As you release these fears to God, lean into His promise. Surround your children with prayer, asking God to protect them in every situation they may face. Philippians 4:7 reminds us that the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your heart and mind. I will pray for you to experience this peace that only He can provide. May you find security in His loving presence and assurance that He watches over your little ones.
