A Mother's Heart for Her Child's Silent Struggles
I'm Maria, a mother of two, and my youngest, Daniel, is 11 years old. He has been suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome for the past year, and it has deeply affected his ability to participate in school and play with his friends. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see him struggle, and even more so when people dismiss his illness as fatigue. I try to encourage him daily, but I also feel helpless and frustrated that others can’t see the invisible battle he is fighting. I ask for prayers for my son's healing and for the strength to support him through this. I also pray for understanding from those around us, that they may extend grace and kindness rather than judgment.

Dear Maria, thank you for sharing your burden with us. It is so painful to witness your child’s struggles, especially when they are unseen by others. I want to encourage you with the reminder from Jeremiah 30:17, 'For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord.' There is hope in the healing that God promises. As a parent, you are doing a wonderful job by being Daniel's advocate, and your love for him shines through your words. It's vital to keep lifting him up in prayer and seeking out supports that truly understand chronic conditions. Remember, you are not alone; God is with both you and Daniel, and He is aware of each struggle. In Philippians 4:7, we are assured that 'the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' I will pray for Daniel’s health and for your strength as you navigate these challenges together. Trust in God’s plan for your family, for He knows all that you are facing. Amen.
