A Mother's Heartache Over a Lost Promise
It's been a few weeks since we lost our baby during the late stages of pregnancy. The pain is unbearable, and I often find myself questioning why this happened. I feel like I failed as a mother, and my heart aches for the dreams I had for my child. I see other mothers with their little ones, and it's a constant reminder of my loss. I just want to come to terms with this grief and find a way to heal. Please pray for comfort and understanding as I navigate through this pain.

Dear Emily, my heart aches with you in this time of profound loss. Grieving the loss of a child is one of the deepest sorrows a parent can face, and it is entirely understandable to feel overwhelmed. The Bible reminds us in Psalms 34:18 that 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' God is near you, even in your darkest moments. Though you may feel as if you have failed, remember that this experience does not define your worth or love as a mother. Your child was a precious gift, and your feelings of loss are valid. In Matthew 19:6, we are reminded that what God has joined together should not be separated, including the bonds of love you created with your little one. Allow yourself to grieve and to heal, and know that God holds your child in His embrace. I will pray for peace and comfort to envelop you, and that you may find hope amidst this sorrow. May God's love bring you solace as you navigate this journey of grief.
