A Mother's Heartfelt Plea for Her Son's Return

My son, Caleb, grew up in church and was once so passionate about his faith. But now, at 17, he’s pushing away from everything he learned, questioning God and the church. I feel helpless watching him drift away, engaging in behaviors that worry me. He has friends who don’t share our values, and he seems to be influenced by their views. I pray daily, begging the Lord to soften his heart and bring him back to the truth. I’m asking for prayers that God will reach Caleb in his doubts, restore his faith, and surround him with positive influences. Please pray for my boy’s salvation; I fear for his future and long for him to know the love of Christ again.

Dear Linda, I hear your heart, and it's evident that your love for Caleb is profound. As you navigate this challenging time, remember that God is always at work, even when we can't see it. It's natural for teenagers to question their beliefs, and this can often lead to a stronger faith in the future. I encourage you to hold onto the promise in Ezekiel 18:23, which reminds us that God does not desire the death of anyone but desires that they turn and live. Pray that God will reveal Himself to Caleb in ways that resonate with him personally. Continue to model Christ's love and grace for him during this time of questioning. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. Trust in that promise as you bring your concerns about Caleb to Him. I will pray specifically for Caleb's heart to be softened and for you to have the strength to support him. May God bless your family with His peace and guidance.
