A Mother's Prayer for Her Surgery-Dependent Future
Hello, I am Angela, a mother of two young children. My spinal surgery is scheduled soon to address chronic pain that has kept me from being the active mom I want to be. I feel guilty for the time my kids have spent without me fully present, and I worry about what could happen during the surgery. It's hard to accept that I need help, and the fear of recovery looms large. I am asking for prayers for my surgery and for the health of my family during this challenging time. Please pray that God gives me strength and that everything goes well so I can return to my children quickly.

Dear Angela, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s completely natural to feel apprehensive about your surgery, especially as a mother. Remember, Psalm 147:3 assures us that "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." You are showing great courage by seeking help, and I admire your commitment to your family. As you prepare for surgery, meditate on Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God." Trust that God has a plan for your life, even when you cannot see it. Surround yourself with loving friends and family who can lift you in prayer, as you prepare for what's ahead. I will be praying that God grants you both peace and healing. May He comfort you and provide for your family during this time. Amen.
