A Mother's Struggle with Life's Purpose
Hi, I’m Michelle, a 35-year-old mother of two. Lately, I have been feeling lost and questioning my purpose in life. I devoted myself to raising my children, but now that they are getting older, I feel like I’ve lost my identity. I want to contribute meaningfully to the world, but I don’t know where to start. I pray for guidance and a renewed sense of purpose. I want to feel fulfilled and make a difference, even if it begins at home. Please pray for me as I navigate this transition in my life.

Dear Michelle, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It's wonderful that you have dedicated yourself to your family, and it's natural to feel a shift in your identity as your children grow. Remember, you are still valuable and your purpose is not diminished by your changing roles. In Jeremiah 29:11, God promises, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' This means He has a plan for you beyond your current circumstances. You can continue to serve your family while also exploring your personal passions and talents. Reflect on what brings you joy and fulfillment; it might lead to discovering new opportunities for service in your community. I will pray for you to find clarity in this new season of life. Lord, help Michelle find her purpose and guide her on the path You have for her. Amen.
