A Mother's Turmoil Over Church Criticism
As a mother, I've always wanted to raise my children in a loving church environment, but I've recently faced criticism from other members for how I manage my family and my parenting choices. This negativity has left me feeling isolated and fearful. I want to trust in God’s plan for my family, but the judgment from others stings deeply. I’m asking for prayer to help me navigate this situation and to find peace amidst this turmoil.

Dear Maria, I feel the weight of the challenges you are facing as a mother in our church community. It can be disheartening when others criticize our choices, especially when our intentions are pure. Remember that God has a unique plan for your family, as Jeremiah 29:11 assures us: 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' Lean into His promises and trust that He will guide you through this period of difficulty. While criticism can be painful, I encourage you to seek support from those who uplift and encourage you, and to remember Proverbs 3:6, 'In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.' Pray for the strength to respond with grace and to remain steadfast in your beliefs about parenting.
