A Prayer for a Broken Veteran Seeking Salvation
Hello, I’m James, a 45-year-old veteran who has fallen on hard times. After serving my country, I returned home feeling lost and without purpose. I ended up losing my job and my home, and now I find myself living on the streets. I know I need to find Christ and I want to be a positive influence for those around me, but I feel so broken. Please pray that I can find a church that reaches out to veterans and those in need. I am longing for a true conversion experience that will heal my heart and help me to serve others as I once served my country.

Dear James, thank you for your service and for sharing your burden with us. It takes great courage to reach out for help, and I want you to know that God is with you in your struggles. His desire is for everyone to come to Him (Ezekiel 18:23), and He longs to restore the broken-hearted. Remember, you are not defined by your circumstances, and with Christ, you can find a new purpose. In Ephesians 2:8, we are reminded, 'For by grace are ye saved through faith.' This grace is available to you, regardless of your past. I encourage you to seek fellowship with others who understand your journey. You are worthy of love and support, and God has a plan for you. Let’s pray: Lord, we lift James to You. Heal his heart and help him find a community where he can grow in faith and serve others. Amen.
