A Retired Man's Frustrations with Financial Loss
At 67, I thought I had saved enough for a comfortable retirement. However, after being a victim of identity theft, my savings have been devastated, and my credit has been ruined. I feel like my golden years have turned into a nightmare. It’s disheartening to think that I might have to go back to work or rely on my children. I am asking for prayers not just for financial restoration but also for peace in my heart. I want to trust God that He has a plan for me in this new season of life.

Dear Robert, I can only imagine the weight of your situation as you enter this new season of life. It is understandable to feel frustrated and frightened after such a loss, but I want to remind you that God is faithful. In 1 Timothy 6:6, we read, 'But godliness with contentment is great gain.' Even in times of loss, we can find peace in knowing that our true treasures are not found in material possessions but in our relationship with God. Remember, as you seek Him, He will provide for your needs (Matthew 6:33). Your experience and wisdom are valuable, and God may still have plans ahead for you to impact others positively. Trust in Him and lean on your community for support. I will be praying for your peace and for the restoration of what has been lost.
