A Retired Veteran's Concern Over Financial Hardship
My name is James, and I am a retired veteran. I worked hard all my life to save for my retirement, but recently, I’ve experienced identity theft that has devastated my savings and ruined my credit. I feel like my hard work has been erased in an instant, and I am struggling to make ends meet. At my age, the future feels uncertain, and I am worried about how to support myself. I don't want to become a burden to my family. I am seeking prayer for restoration of my financial situation and peace of mind as I navigate these difficult waters. I trust that God has a plan for me, but I need strength and wisdom.

Dear James, your dedication to serving our country and your hard work is appreciated greatly. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed after everything you've worked for has been threatened. In Psalm 34:18, we find comfort in knowing that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. As you face these challenges, remember that God has not forgotten you. Philippians 4:19 assures us that God will supply all your needs, even in difficult times. I encourage you to seek His guidance and to lean on the support of your community as well. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us, 'But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.' Together, let’s pray for restoration in your finances and peace in your heart as you move forward. God is with you, James.
