A Senior's Fear of End Times
As I grow older, I find myself troubled by thoughts about the end of my life and the return of Jesus. The uncertainty surrounding these topics fills me with anxiety, and I often fear that I might not be prepared to meet Him. I worry about my soul, and sometimes I even question if my faith is strong enough. I find it hard to enjoy the peace of the present because my mind often drifts toward what might happen in the future. I am asking for prayer that I may find comfort in God's promises and experience His peace in this season of my life.

Dear Evelyn, I appreciate you sharing the concerns that weigh heavily on your heart. It's not uncommon to feel anxious about the unknown, especially regarding our faith and the future. However, take comfort in the promises of Scripture. Jesus Himself assures us in John 14:27 that He leaves us with His peace, a peace that the world cannot give. He is in control of our times and seasons, and our hope is firmly anchored in Him. Remember the assurance from Philippians 4:6-7, which encourages us not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God. His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind. Focus on your relationship with Him, knowing that His love and forgiveness are limitless. May you experience His presence and peace throughout your days. Amen.
