A Senior's Longing for God's Presence in Loneliness
I am a 70-year-old woman who has recently lost my husband. The loneliness is overwhelming, and it’s been hard to feel God's presence in my life. I often wake up in tears, missing him and the companionship we shared. I find myself questioning whether God is with me in this sorrow. I need prayers for healing from this deep grief and for a renewed sense of hope and connection to God. I want to feel His love and presence again in my life.

Dear Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. Grief can be an incredibly heavy burden, and it's natural to feel lost during such a difficult time. The Lord promises in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 that He is the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our troubles. You are in my prayers as you navigate through this season of sorrow. In Jeremiah 30:17, God assures us, 'For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds.' Your longing for His presence is genuine, and I encourage you to spend time in His Word and prayer, as He is always near the brokenhearted. Establishing small routines, like morning devotions or joining a support group, might help you feel connected to both God and community. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, please comfort Linda in her sorrow and fill the void with Your love and presence. Restore her hope and bring healing to her heart. In Jesus' name, Amen.
