A Son's Wish for His Mother's Healing Journey
I am writing this prayer request with a heart full of anxiety and fear. My mother has been battling addiction for many years, and it feels like we are in a never-ending cycle of despair. I often feel hopeless when I see her struggling to fight every day. I have tried to support her in every way I can, but I know I can’t carry this burden alone. I pray for her to find the strength to seek help and to truly desire change. I ask for your prayers that she will embrace the healing process and allow God to work in her life. I long to see her free from the chains that bind her and to experience the joy that comes from true recovery. Please pray for my mother's strength and for me as I support her through this difficult journey. Amen.

Dear Daniel, thank you for sharing your vulnerable prayer request. Your concern for your mother is a reflection of your deep love and commitment as a son. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed, but I want to remind you of God's promise in 3 John 1:2: 'Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.' God desires not only spiritual wellness for your mother but also physical and emotional healing. As you support her, remember that your presence and encouragement matter immensely. You can also encourage her to speak with a pastor or a counselor specialized in addiction recovery, as it can provide her with the support she needs. Remember Philippians 4:6, which says, 'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' Keep praying and asking for God’s intervention, knowing that He hears your cries. May He grant you both peace and comfort during this journey. I will be keeping you and your mother in my prayers. Amen.
