A Student's Struggle with Fear of Failure
As a college student, I find myself constantly overwhelmed with anxiety about my grades and the future. I study hard, but fear grips me every time I think about failing or disappointing my family. My worth seems tied to my academic success, and I struggle to experience any peace. I often lie awake at night, flooded with worries about my future, feeling the weight of expectations crushing me. I want to trust God, but I fear His disappointment in me. Please pray that I can find peace and assurance in His love, despite my shortcomings.

Dear Lucas, I appreciate your vulnerability in sharing your struggle with fear and anxiety. It’s understandable to feel the weight of expectations, especially in a demanding environment like college. However, remember that your worth is not defined by your grades but by the unconditional love of our Heavenly Father. In Romans 8:15, Scripture assures us that we are no longer slaves to fear, but adopted as His children. God loves you deeply, and He desires for you to lean on Him during these anxious moments. I encourage you to meditate on Isaiah 26:3, which reminds us that God will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in Him. Make a habit of casting your cares upon Him, as 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us to do, knowing that He cares for you. I will pray for your heart to be filled with God's peace and for the wisdom to trust Him with your future. May you feel His presence in your life today. Amen.
