A Wife’s Plea for Healing and Peace Before Surgery
I’m Sarah, and I’m 28 years old. My husband is facing spinal surgery that has been long debated by his doctors. He is nervous and feels the weight of uncertainty looming over him. I am trying to be his rock, but I, too, am scared about the potential complications. We have two small kids and a lot of responsibilities, and I'm praying that everything goes smoothly. I need prayer for both of us, to stay strong and faithful despite our fears. I also hope for healing and full recovery so he can be present with our family again. Please lift us up in prayer.

Dear Sarah, thank you for reaching out during such a daunting time in both yours and your husband’s life. It’s understandable to feel the burden of fear as you both prepare for this surgery. Remember that in Isaiah 41:10, God promises, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." You are not alone in this, and God sees your commitment to your husband and your family. Philippians 4:6 encourages us to be anxious for nothing but to make our requests known to God. Lean into this promise as you pray for your husband’s healing and comfort. Trust that He will work all things together for your good, as stated in Romans 8:28. I will keep both you and your husband in my prayers, asking God for peace and healing. Amen.
