A Wife's Plea for Her Husband's Healing Journey
Dear friends, my husband returned home from his deployment several months ago, but he hasn’t been himself since. He fights daily battles within his mind that I can’t fully comprehend. The nightmares, the silence, the tension—it feels like a shadow looms over our family. We have two young children who miss their dad's laughter and joy. I often find myself feeling helpless and scared, as I want to support him but I don’t know how. I'm seeking prayer for his healing, for God to touch his heart and bring peace into our home. I long for my husband to reconnect with our family and find solace in God's love during this difficult reintegration process.

Dear Maria, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s clear that your husband’s struggle with PTSD has placed immense pressure on both him and your family. I want you to know that God sees your pain. In Psalm 34:18, it says, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' Your husband's healing journey will take time, but remember that God is with you every step of the way. Encourage him to lean on the Lord in prayer, as Philippians 4:7 reminds us, 'And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' Take comfort in knowing that your love and support are vital as he navigates this path. Surround yourselves with a community that can help carry the burdens you share (Galatians 6:2). I will be praying for your family, asking the Lord to heal your husband and restore your family’s peace. May God bless you with strength and resilience. Amen.
