A Young Man's Battle with Doubt and Despair
I’m a young man who used to be very active in my youth group, but lately, I've been overwhelmed by doubts and fears. I feel so disconnected from God, and it seems like every prayer I send up just bounces back. I’ve strayed from the faith that once brought me so much joy. I even question whether I truly believed in the first place. My heart aches for the peace I once felt, and I wish I could experience the joy of salvation again. Please pray for me to find clarity and strength to seek God once more and to understand that no one is beyond the reach of His grace. I am desperate for salvation and a revived faith.

Dear Eli, thank you for bravely sharing your struggles with us. It’s normal to experience seasons of doubt, especially in our journey of faith. Remember that even the great apostles had moments of uncertainty. In Romans 3:23, we are reminded that 'all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,' but this doesn't define our worth or His love for us. God’s grace is abundant for those who seek Him earnestly (Ephesians 2:8).
I encourage you to lean into those feelings of doubt and bring them before God in prayer. He is not afraid of your questions; He longs to answer them and bring you peace (Philippians 4:6-7). Surround yourself with supportive friends from your youth group, as fellowship can often reignite the flame of faith. Remember, salvation is not just a one-time event but a continual journey of returning to God, who is always ready to embrace you.
Let’s pray: "Lord, I ask that You would comfort Eli during this challenging time. Reveal Yourself to him in profound ways, and restore his faith and joy in You. Amen."
