A Young Man's Search for Belonging and Faith
I’m a 24-year-old who recently moved to a new city for work. I’ve always been active in my church back home, but now I feel completely disconnected from everything and everyone. I miss the fellowship, the friendships, and the sense of belonging that comes with being part of a community of believers. It’s isolating to wake up on Sundays and not have a place to go. I know God is with me, but loneliness often creeps in, and I find myself questioning my faith. I’m pouring my heart out to God, asking Him to help me find a church community where I can grow and connect with others. Please pray that I can find a supportive church family here and make meaningful connections that will strengthen my faith.

Campus Ministry Director
Dear Ethan, thank you for sharing your heart with me. I understand how challenging it can be to leave behind a familiar environment and seek new connections in a different place. It reminds me of the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, where God assures us of His plans for our lives—plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Trust that He has a community waiting for you, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. You are not alone in this journey. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the substance of things hoped for. Hold onto that hope, and don’t hesitate to reach out to local churches and groups. They often have activities and events aimed at helping newcomers integrate. Remember also Psalm 46:10, which calls us to be still and know that He is God. As you seek, may you find peace in His presence and trust that He will guide you to the right fellowship. Let me pray for you: Heavenly Father, please lead Ethan to the community where he can feel Your love through others. Amen.
