A Young Man's Search for Peace Amidst Anxiety
I'm a 22-year-old man battling anxiety and clinical depression. It feels like a heavy weight on my chest, making everyday life a struggle. Despite my efforts to pray and read the Bible, I often feel like God is distant. I want to trust Him, but I find it hard to feel His peace. I’m reaching out for prayer, asking for guidance and strength to overcome these feelings. Please pray that I can find a way to connect with God and experience His peace in the midst of my struggles.

Dear David, thank you for your honest and courageous request. It’s clear that you’re seeking God earnestly, and He sees your heart. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known unto God. His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind. I encourage you to be persistent in prayer and to surround yourself with supportive friends and family so you can express your struggles openly. Remember that God is a refuge in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1). Keep pressing into Him, and you will begin to experience His presence more profoundly. Let’s pray: Lord, I lift David before Your throne. Please grant him Your peace and comfort as he seeks You in this turmoil. Strengthen him and help him to feel Your loving presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
