A Young Mother's Fear of Losing Her Children
I am a young mother to two small children, and lately, I have been overwhelmed by the fear of something happening to them. Every time they run to play outside, I feel a knot in my stomach, worried that I might lose them. It's as if I see danger everywhere, and my heart races at the thought of them being in harm’s way. I keep trying to remind myself of God’s protection, yet the fear keeps creeping back in. Please pray that I can surrender my fears to God and find renewed courage and peace in my heart.

Dear Sara, I truly empathize with your feelings. As a mother, your instinct is to protect your children, and it’s understandable to feel anxious about their safety. I want to encourage you that God is with you and your children. John 14:27 reminds us that Jesus gives us His peace—not as the world gives. Embrace this promise and let it wash over your concerns. Remember, in Isaiah 26:3, God reassures us that He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him. Each day, bring your worries to Him in prayer, just as Philippians 4:6-7 instructs us to present our requests to God. I will pray for the peace of God to permeate your heart, replacing fear with trust. May you find rest in knowing that your children are in His capable hands.
