A Young Teacher Seeking Financial Breakthrough
Hi, I’m Jason, a 24-year-old first-year teacher in a low-income school. I love teaching, but the pay is barely enough to cover my living expenses, and I’ve been feeling discouraged. I took on tutoring after school, but it seems like no matter how much I work, it never feels like it’s enough. I often find myself stressed about money, which affects my ability to be present in my classroom. I’m praying for a financial breakthrough and for my work to be fulfilling again. I ask for prayers that I can find joy in what I do and that God would provide for my needs.

Dear Jason, I appreciate your honesty and dedication as a young teacher. It’s not easy to feel the weight of financial stress, especially in a profession that aims to uplift others. Matthew 6:26 encourages us, 'Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?' God provides, and He sees your hard work and dedication. Remember that your purpose in the classroom extends beyond financial gain; you are planting seeds of knowledge and hope in the lives of your students. Philippians 4:13 reminds us that 'I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.' Hold onto that promise as you continue your work.
