An Exhausted Caregiver's Prayer for Peace and Strength
I’ve taken on the role of caregiver for my mother, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and I find myself emotionally drained. I want to give her the best care possible, but the stress is starting to affect my health. I find it hard to get enough rest, and some days I feel like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. I pray for peace in my heart and strength to keep going, but I often feel lost and unsure. Please pray for clarity as I navigate these challenging circumstances and for the necessary support to help both my mother and myself.

Dear Lucas, thank you for being so honest about your feelings. It takes great courage to admit when we are struggling, and what you are experiencing is not uncommon among caregivers. God understands your weariness, and He invites you to find rest in Him (Matthew 11:28-30). I encourage you to create small moments of respite for yourself, whether through prayer, meditation, or simply taking a walk. Remember that even in our weakness, God's grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). I will be praying for you and your mother, asking the Lord to provide clarity and peace in your hearts. May you be surrounded by support, and may God give you the strength you need for each day. Trust in Him, for He holds your journey in His hands.
