An Immigrant's Struggle to Find Spiritual Family
As a recent immigrant, I feel so lost in this new culture and community. I had a vibrant church back home that was like family, but here, I feel isolated and disconnected. The language barrier and cultural differences make it hard to connect with others. I yearn for fellowship and a place where I can worship freely, yet I struggle to trust that I will find acceptance. Please pray for me to find a spiritual family that welcomes me with open arms and helps me grow in my faith.

Dear Amina, thank you for sharing your heart with us. The journey of immigration can be profoundly challenging, especially when it feels like you’ve left behind a vital support network. Know that God sees you, and He desires community for each of us. As Romans 10:17 reminds us, 'So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.' Your longing for connection is rooted in your desire to grow in faith. I encourage you to reach out to local ministries that focus on welcoming newcomers; there are often groups specifically for people from diverse backgrounds. Trust in God’s promise, as Jeremiah 29:11 states, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' He will guide you to a place of belonging. Let’s pray together: Lord, I ask that You lead Amina to a community that embraces her and helps her flourish spiritually. In Your name, Amen.
