Anxiety About My Legacy and Impact
At 65, I find myself reflecting on my life and the legacy I will leave behind. I worry if I have made a meaningful impact or if my life has been wasted. Thoughts of death mingle with anxiety about how I will be remembered, and I feel a heavy weight on my heart. I want to live out my remaining years with purpose, but fear often clouds my judgment. I seek prayers for clarity as I strive to understand my purpose in God’s plan and how I can positively affect those around me.

Dear Samuel, the desire to leave a meaningful legacy is a noble and natural inclination, especially as we grow older. Your reflections show a heart that longs to honor God and impact others positively. In Ephesians 2:10, we are reminded that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which He prepared beforehand. Your life has already been shaped by His purpose, and every moment is an opportunity to continue to make a difference. In Psalm 55:22, we are encouraged to cast our burdens upon the Lord, who will sustain us. Let go of the weight of your worries and trust Him to guide you. Remember that it is never too late to leave a legacy of faith and love. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we learn that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and all things have become new. Embrace each day with the knowledge that God is still at work in you. I will pray that you find peace and purpose in His calling, allowing Him to use you for His glory in these precious years ahead.
