Anxiety Before Every Client Meeting
I’m Lisa, a 42-year-old financial consultant. I usually enjoy my job, helping clients manage their finances and make sound decisions. However, whenever I have to meet with clients and present my recommendations, I get crippling anxiety. My heart races, and my mind feels foggy, as if I can’t think straight. I fear that they won't understand my advice or that I'll miss something critical. It’s incredibly frustrating because I know I have the knowledge but can’t convey it effectively. I’m asking for prayer to help me overcome this anxiety and find clarity during my presentations.

Dear Lisa, thank you for sharing your burden with us. The anxiety you feel before client meetings can be daunting, but I want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1). He desires for you to cast your cares upon Him, as mentioned in 1 Peter 5:7, because He cares for you deeply. I encourage you to pray before each meeting, asking God for the wisdom and clarity needed to communicate effectively. Remember that even the professionals in the Bible faced challenges, yet found strength in God. The promise in Philippians 4:7 assures us that God's peace will guard your heart and mind. Trust that you are equipped for this task and that God will provide the words you need. Let us pray: Lord, I ask that You calm Lisa's heart and grant her clarity and confidence as she meets with her clients. Surround her with Your peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
