Anxiety Over Maintaining Financial Stability
Hello, I’m Maria. I come from a background where every penny counts, and now that I have a good job and some savings, I can’t shake the anxiety that it might all disappear. My parents struggled financially, and I guess I always feel that pressure to avoid their mistakes. I obsess over budgeting and checking my accounts. I often find myself in tears, fearing the worst-case scenarios. I want to surrender this anxiety to God but struggle to let go. I would appreciate prayers for peace and the ability to trust that God is in control of my finances and my future.

Dear Maria, thank you for your candidness about your fears. It’s commendable that you take financial responsibility seriously, but it can indeed lead to overwhelming anxiety. Remember that you are not defined by your past or by your financial status. God calls us to trust in Him with all our hearts (Proverbs 3:5-6). He desires for us to lean on Him instead of our own understanding. Matthew 6:26 reminds us that if He takes care of the birds of the air, how much more will He take care of you? It’s vital to let go of the burden of control and rest in the truth that God is your provider. I pray that you feel His peace wash over you. Let’s pray together: "Lord, I ask for Maria to experience Your calming presence and relief from her worries. May she find confidence in Your provision and direction. In Jesus' name, Amen."
