Anxiety Over My Daughter’s Upcoming Surgery
As a father, it’s heartbreaking to see my daughter, who is just 10 years old, facing surgery. She has a congenital condition that has required multiple procedures, but this one feels especially daunting. I can’t help but feel anxious about the risks involved and what the recovery process will be like for her. I pray for her healing, but I also need prayers for my own heart to find peace and strength during this time. I want to be strong for her, but my own fear is sometimes overwhelming. Please pray for us both.

Dear David, thank you for sharing your heart with us regarding your daughter's upcoming surgery. It’s natural to feel anxiety as a parent when your child is facing a medical procedure. I want to remind you of the comforting words in Psalms 34:18, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' Your concern shows the depth of your love for your daughter, and God is with both of you in this journey. Remember also the promise in Exodus 15:26, where God reminds us, 'I am the Lord that healeth thee.' Your daughter is in His capable hands, and He desires to bring healing and restoration. In times of worry, cling to Philippians 4:6-7, where it says to 'be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' As you pray for her, allow His peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard both your hearts. Let’s pray together: "Heavenly Father, we lift up David and his daughter to You. Provide them with comfort, strength, and successful surgery. Amen."
