Asking for Courage in Leading Recovery

🙏15 people praying
·David·March 31, 2026

Hi, I’m David, a 28-year-old man who has struggled with alcoholism for years. I am now leading a recovery group for men in my church. It has been rewarding, but my past often makes me doubt my ability to help others. I seek prayers for courage to walk this path of leadership and for God to use my story as a testimony of His grace. I want others to understand that no one is beyond redemption and that true freedom is found in Christ. I pray that our group can be a sanctuary of hope and healing, and that we can support each other in our journeys toward recovery. Thank you for your prayers!

Dear David, thank you for your sincere request. Your willingness to lead others while being transparent about your journey is a powerful example of how God works through our struggles. Remember that God equips those He calls, as seen in 1 Corinthians 1:27, which says, "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise." Your testimony is a testament to the transformative love of Christ. Hold onto John 3:16, where it reassures us of God’s love for the world and the promise of salvation. As you lead, trust that God is with you every step of the way. Let’s pray: Lord, grant David the courage and strength he needs to lead his group. May they all experience the life-changing power of Your love. Amen.
