Asking for Help with Separation Anxiety
I’m Caleb, a 31-year-old man who has been grappling with debilitating separation anxiety for several years now. Being away from my significant other, even for short periods, sends me into a spiral of fear and panic. I often struggle to focus on work or daily tasks because my mind races with worries about their safety and well-being. I feel trapped in this cycle, and I know that I need God to intervene. I am asking for prayers to help me let go of these fears and to find strength to trust that my loved ones are in God’s hands. I want to experience life fully and not be paralyzed by anxiety.

Dear Caleb, thank you for sharing your heart. It’s admirable that you are seeking God during this challenging time. Remember that our worries do not add a single hour to our lives (Matthew 6:27). In 1 Peter 5:7, we are reminded to cast all our care upon Him because He cares for us. This is a beautiful assurance. Additionally, reflect on John 14:27, where Jesus states that He gives us peace, not as the world gives. Holding onto this peace can transform your anxious moments. I encourage you to practice trusting God continually, even in your anxiety. Let’s pray: Lord, I lift Caleb to You, asking for Your peace to guard his heart and mind, and for him to surrender his fears to You. Amen.
