Asking for Strength While We Settle into a New Life
I’m Lisa, a 37-year-old single mother of three. We lost everything when our house was destroyed in a tornado. We’ve moved into a new apartment, but I can’t shake the anxiety of starting over. My kids are adjusting, but I can see their struggle. I feel pressure to be strong for them, but inside, I am crumbling. I miss our old home and the stability it brought. I ask for prayer for strength as we navigate this new chapter and for peace as we settle into a life that feels so foreign.

Dear Lisa, I admire your strength as you face this challenging transition. It's perfectly normal to feel overwhelmed as you and your children adjust to a new home after such a traumatic event. Remember that God is with you every step of the way, as promised in Isaiah 41:10, where He tells us not to fear because He is with us. Lean on His strength during this time. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and I encourage you to pour out your feelings before Him (Psalms 34:18). Seek community support; it’s a gift that God provides through others. I will pray for you and your children, asking God to grant you peace and strength as you build this new life together.
