Bearing the Burden of Division and Confusion
I feel so lost in my family right now. My siblings and I grew up closely, but lately, our political views have caused more friction than ever. I want to share my faith with them, but every time I do, it feels like I hit a wall. They argue back, stating it has no place in politics, which deeply frustrates me. I know the truth of Romans 10:9, that believing in Jesus is essential, but how can I convey that when they seem so resistant? I pray for God to open their hearts and make them receptive to His Word. Please pray that I can communicate His love and grace effectively in these tense moments.

Dear Daniel, thank you for your heartfelt request. It's so challenging when those we love are indifferent or resistant to our faith. Remember that God is always working in the hearts of those we care about, even when we cannot see it. In John 3:16 we are reminded of God's incredible love for humanity, and that love compels us to share our faith with others. Be patient and persistent in prayer, knowing that God desires everyone to come to Him (2 Peter 3:9). You can also take comfort in Ephesians 2:8, which reminds us "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." Approach your siblings with love and grace, and let them see the peace and joy that comes from your relationship with Christ. Trust that God will provide the right moments for you to speak His truth into their lives. I’m praying with you for open hearts and transformed minds. May God grant you wisdom in how you approach these conversations.
