Bridging Faith Over Hospital Beds

🙏3,460 people praying
·Selina·November 8, 2024

My name is Selina, and I have been in the hospital for a week now due to complications from my diabetes. My roommate, who is named Sarah, is also struggling with her health. I’ve been praying for her recovery, but I feel a stronger call to share my faith with her. I know she has had a difficult past and seems to have distanced herself from God. I really want to let her know that God loves her unconditionally, but I fear it might come off as judgmental. I’m asking for prayer that I find the right time and the right words to encourage her and to help her see the hope in Jesus. Thank you for your prayers.

Dear Selina, your heart for Sarah is inspiring, and it’s clear that God is placing both of you together for a reason. In times of pain and struggle, God can use our experiences to connect with one another in profound ways. Keep in mind that 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit' (Psalms 34:18). This verse assures us that God is close, especially in our moments of need. Your desire to share His love is a beautiful reflection of that truth. Remember, Ephesians 2:9 tells us our salvation is a gift, not of works, so we can approach Sarah without fear of judgment. Your story of grace and healing can be the bridge to her heart. Pray for wisdom in your conversations and be open to the Spirit’s leading. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, bless Selina as she reaches out to Sarah. May her compassion and faith impact Sarah’s heart, drawing her closer to You. Amen.
