Bridging Science and Spirituality
I’m Lisa, a 30-year-old environmental scientist. My work involves analyzing climate data, which often leaves me feeling overwhelmed by the realities of our world. Amidst the stark evidence, I sometimes struggle to align my Christian beliefs with what I observe in nature. I want to believe that God is in control, but the scientific data often paints a different picture of despair. I ask for prayers to help me find a way to bridge my work with my faith so that I can be a better steward of God’s creation without losing hope. Thank you for your prayers.

Dear Lisa, thank you for sharing your heart. The field of environmental science can indeed present sobering challenges that can shake our faith. In times of trouble, it's vital to hold tight to God’s promises and seek His peace. Psalm 46:10 reminds us, 'Be still, and know that I am God.' Even in the face of overwhelming evidence, God is still sovereign. Remember that your work is a reflection of His creation and a call to stewardship. In Romans 10:17, we are taught that 'faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.' Allow God’s Word to speak hope into your work. Trust that He will guide you as you navigate these challenges. Let’s pray: Lord, I lift up Lisa to You. Provide her comfort and clarity as she balances her environmental responsibilities with her faith. Remind her that You are in control, and help her be a beacon of hope in her field. Amen.
