Building Bridges with My Stepchildren
I am a stepfather who is struggling to connect with my four stepchildren. Their resistance to my involvement leaves me feeling helpless and rejected. I pray that God will help me find ways to break down the barriers between us. I want to build bridges of trust and love so that our blended family can thrive. I often feel like I'm failing in my role as a stepdad. Please pray that I can demonstrate patience and kindness and that my stepchildren will be open to letting me in. I desire to create a nurturing environment that honors God and fosters love.

This union creates a new family that God desires to nurture. Your willingness to seek connection is a great first step. Continue to show patience and engage with your stepchildren in ways that validate their feelings. As you display love through acts of service and understanding, they may begin to see you as a trusted figure in their lives. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, we ask you to guide David as he seeks to connect with his stepchildren. Grant him wisdom and the ability to demonstrate unconditional love. Amen.
