Caring for My Mother with Diminishing Memories

It's a heavy burden to care for my mother who has Alzheimer’s. Every day, I see her struggle to remember family members and the stories that once brought her joy. I feel like I’m losing her piece by piece, and it leaves me feeling so helpless and lonely. I do all I can to keep her spirits up, but some days it feels like a losing battle. I am grieving not only the memories she's lost but also the vibrant person I once knew. I ask for prayer for both my emotional strength and for my mother’s peace. I want to honor her and love her as she deserves, but it’s so hard to bear the weight of this loss. Please pray that we can find joy in the brief moments of clarity and connection we still share.
