Caught in the Middle of Family Conflicts
Hello, I’m Daniel, and I’m reaching out for prayer regarding my marriage. My wife and I have been facing a lot of stress due to my parents’ constant interference in our decisions, especially about how we raise our children. They often come over unannounced and impose their views, which leads to arguments between my wife and me. I love my family, but I find myself torn between them and my wife, who feels increasingly isolated. This tension is creeping into our love life, and it breaks my heart to see us drifting apart. I pray for wisdom to set healthy boundaries and for my parents to understand and respect our choices as a couple. Please pray for healing and restoration in our marriage. Thank you.

Dear Daniel, thank you for reaching out and sharing the difficulties you are experiencing in your marriage. It’s understandable to feel caught in the middle when both family and marriage need your attention. Remember, Ephesians 5:31 tells us that 'For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.' Your primary commitment must be to your wife and your family unit. As you work on setting boundaries, approach your parents with love and respect, expressing your desire for their support in this new stage of your family life. Pray for them to have understanding and an open heart toward you both. I encourage you to seek God's wisdom and guidance in your conversations (James 1:5) and commit to praying together with your wife to strengthen your bond. Remember, love covers all, as stated in 1 Peter 4:8, and with God’s help, you can navigate this season. I’m praying for peace and understanding in your family and a renewal of love in your marriage.
