Chasing My Dreams: The Weight of Performance Anxiety
Dear friends, my name is Michael, and I've been struggling deeply with performance anxiety as a musician. Each time I step onto the stage, it's like a dark cloud envelops me, drowning out the joy I once felt while sharing my music. I’ve played countless shows, but the fear of failure and judgment is crippling. I've tried to remind myself why I love music, but the anxiety sometimes feels overwhelming. I find myself questioning whether I should even continue pursuing this passion. Please pray that I can find peace and confidence in my abilities and that I can trust God to guide me through these moments of fear. I seek the courage to perform without being paralyzed by anxiety.

In moments like these, it’s essential to remember that God is with you, even in your fears. The Lord promises us in John 14:27, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' He offers you a peace that surpasses understanding. I encourage you to cast your cares upon Him, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7, 'Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.' When you step onto that stage, remember that it is an opportunity to share the gifts God has given you, not a test of your worth. Philippians 4:7 assures us that 'the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' I pray that you find renewed strength and courage in Him. May God's love envelop you, providing comfort and freedom as you express yourself through music.
