Comfort in the Face of Afterlife Questions
As a 60-year-old grandparent, I have seen many loved ones pass away, and now I’m struggling with thoughts about my own afterlife. I often find myself questioning if heaven is truly real and what it will be like. I want to have faith, but the fear of the unknown keeps me up at night. I pray for clarity and comfort in these troubling thoughts. Lord, help me to trust in what I cannot see, and give me the strength to find joy in the promise of eternal life with You. I desire to feel secure in my faith and hope for what lies ahead. Amen.

Dear Henry, you are not alone in your struggle with questions about the afterlife; many believers wrestle with this. It's a blessing that you are seeking God for comfort and clarity. Jesus assures us in John 14:2-3 that He has gone to prepare a place for us. This promise is a reminder of our hope in Him and the eternal joy that awaits us. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' Trusting in God’s plan may be challenging, but know that He is with you every step of the way. Let’s pray together: Father, I ask that You envelop Henry in Your peace, guiding him to trust in Your promises about the afterlife. Amen.
